Discover Fraser by 4WD

Eurong's absolute beach frontage and access to Fraser's eastern beach attractions are magnets for 4WD enthusiasts - who take to the sand tracks and beach highway with undisguised enthusiasm.

Whether you're planning an off-roading adventure and want to test the mettle of your vehicle; are introducing the family to your favourite beach side holiday; want to discover all the private spots or just want to take your time and cruise down the beach - there's an experience for you.

Eurong is only accessible by 4WD, so make sure you check out the Fraser Island condition report from Queensland Parks and Wildlife before setting out. You can even pre-purchase your vehicle permit on line. Island regulars know that Fraser's track and beach conditions change daily (depending on tides and weather); so you may have to lower your tyre pressure to suit conditions - particularly in the summer months or in periods with little or no rain. And, no trip to Eurong is complete without checking the tides - if you don't have a handy little book for your glove box, you can download the latest tide times here (check out Waddy Point for times on 75-Mile Beach; and Urangan for tides on the western side).

Eurong is a great holiday hub... so if you're camping on Fraser (or at your secret fishing hole), you can still swing by and fuel up. A general store and bottle shop provide all the essentials including camping gear, bait and tackle, ice, fishing gear and fuel

Plus, there are tennis courts and WIFI for those that need their dose of internet. And when the day's exploring is done, our McKenzie's Bar and Lounge offers lively atmosphere and the chance to mingle with campers, locals and Fraser Island visitors and swap stories over a cold bear.
